Campaign Strategy - Briefing & Timing

Written by Luca Olah | Nov 22, 2022 9:42:52 AM

After selecting the perfect Influencers for your campaign (for which we also prepared some help, read it here), an appropriate brief is the second step to make the project successful & effective.

Without an accurate and transparent brief, Influencers can interpret the instructions in their own way, resulting in a not really coherent strategy.

The best way to avoid this scenario is to use brief templates - these templates make sure that you do not miss out on any essential details. Post For Rent’s campaign manager platform also offers a brief template that is designed to make the process easy & effective. The brief template not only ensures that the campaign runs smoothly, but it also helps to ensure maximum success. With a brief in place, brands and influencers are able to collaborate more effectively and efficiently. This makes it easier for them to create content that resonates with their target audience and achieve desired results.

Of course, we cannot forget that Influencers are creators, the understanding of the brief will differ from one Influencer to another. If there is a concrete idea that clients want to see, the most convenient way to make sure that Influencers will do just that is to attach mood photos that can guide the creation process of these contents.

But if there’s no explicit expectation, the freedom creators have will only add to the diversity of the campaigns. However there is another critical point that we need to take into consideration when setting up Influencer communication: deadlines. Since there is a human factor in the process, it is recommended to count in 3-5 days buffer time. This way you can make sure that each content is posted within the given time frame.

There’s only one question left to discuss: what about pricing

Setting the fee for influencers differs from country to country, for this reason you need to check the industry averages before sending the offers. Do not be surprised, there is still fluctuation from one creator to the other, so try and be flexible about it!

Of course, there are certain ways you can reduce the price - for example barter supplement, volume discount or by offering long-term partnerships to the Influencer.

Communication is key...

Last but not least, the proper communication with the creators is what sets up the campaign to success. It is essential that everything is in written format - this way no information will be lost. Our Campaign Management marketplace platform is a great solution, there is a well designed communication channel included where the clients can contact the Influencers.
